Prentice Learning Goals

The Prentice School has developed five learning goals that apply to all our students – from pre-kindergarten to 8th grade. They are incorporated into our curriculum and programs. The Prentice Learning Goals are:

  • Be a good citizen
  • Be a critical (smart) thinker
  • Be an effective communicator
  • Be a self-directed learner
  • Be a technologically proficient student
Each of these goals has lists of descriptors that are relevant to specific age groups:
  • Pre-kindergarten to 3rd grade
  • 4th-5th grades
  • 6th-8th grades
The goals and descriptions for each age group are attached to this article.

The Prentice Learning Goals were established after careful consideration and much discussion. Prentice serves children who have a language-based learning difference. Achieving these goals will help our students become happy, successful, and productive adults.
