The Prentice School is regionally accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC). Prentice received its initial six-year accreditation, the longest accreditation term, in 1995. Since then, The Prentice School has continued to meet WASC’s criteria and accreditation standards. The Prentice School’s most recent six-year accreditation was received in May 2015. The Prentice School is certified as a NonPublic School (NPS) by the California Department of Education.
As a certified NPS, Prentice is authorized to implement and monitor the Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) of district funded students. The Prentice School is recognized as a strategic partner by The Slingerland® Institute because of our commitment to the Slingerland® Approach to Language Arts and its implementation in our educational program. The Prentice School is a member of the International Dyslexia Association (IDA). We strongly believe in their mission and actively support their dedication to helping all individuals achieve their potential.
