Affording Prentice
Tuition for the 2010-2011 School Year: The Prentice School is an independent, non-profit school. It receives no direct funding from the federal or state government. Instead, it is funded by tuition, grants and philanthropic contributions. We are grateful to the many foundations, organization and individuals who have supported the school with funds, time, and talents. Elementary Tuition (2nd-5th Grade): $18,000 Junior High Tuition (6th-8th Grade): $19,000 PEPP Tuition (Pre-K, K, 1st Grade): Our Board of Directors, aware of the importance of early intervention and a strong learning foundation, has lowered tuition for students in Pre-K, K, and 1st grade. Pre-Kindergarten Full Day (8:15 am-2:50 pm): $12,000 Half Day (8:15 am-12:05 pm): $6,000 3 Half Days (M,W,F : 8:15-12:05 pm): $3,600 Kindergarten Full Day (8:15 am-2:50 pm): $13,000 Half Day (8:15 am-12:05 pm): $6,750 1st Grade: $13,000 Payment Plan Prentice offers an installment payment plan whereby the tuition for the entire year is paid in twelve equal monthly installments*. *12 payments offered from May 2010 to April 2011. Students enrolling after May 1, 2010, will have payments beginning in month of enrollment ending in April 2011. Those that wish to pay the year’s tuition in full will receive a “Full Pay Discount” that is prorated based on the student’s enrollment date. For start dates after October 1, tuition is prorated. There is also a reduction in tuition for the second child. Tuition Assistance The Prentice School offers tuition assistance based on a family’s demonstrated need and the availability of funds. Tuition Assistance eligibility cannot be determined until AFTER the student completes the admissions process and has been accepted into the school.
