High School Program                


For many years, parents have inquired about the Prentice School starting a High School Program. We are pleased to announce our partnership with Allied National High School. 

Prentice High School 


Individualized onsite instructionor hybrid learning, is the key feature distinguishing Prentice High School from other distance learning environments. Allied National High School provides the core classes, taught by qualified teachers with online teaching experience, using a state standards-based curriculum. Classes are taken onsite and students are directly supported by Prentice teachers.

Features Prentice High School offers students the flexibility to design their own programs, opting for college preparation courses or vocational training. All students are offered life strategies classes including financial planning (budget/credit), computer applications, social skills classes (workplace emphasis), family life, and more. Opportunities for internal and external internships as well as on-going local and national community services are available.

Schedule The morning is dedicated to language (using the Prentice School's Slingerland Approach), literacy instruction and response, computers and/or physical education. After a mid-morning break, students (with the direct support of the Prentice Faculty) take an elective based class and four distance learning classes offered through Allied National High School. 


Allied National High School is a regionally and nationally accredited online high school in Laguna Hills, California ANHS is dedicated to assisting students who require a flexible and convenient way to take high school courses in an online setting. ANHS has a successful record of helping students from across the country reach their academic goals 

Founded in 1986, The Prentice School is located on six acres in the north Tustin area. It is an independent, nonprofit, coeducational day school for children with dyslexia in pre-kindergarten through High School. Through its success oriented teaching approach, Prentice helps students develop an enthusiasm for learning, academic competence, effective work habits, self-discipline, and confidence. 

Through a partnership between the Prentice School and Allied National High School, Prentice High School was established. PHS is a hybrid learning atmosphere - the future of education.
