The Prentice School offers a 20-day Summer Program composed of a variety of comprehensive educational classes to support students who learn differently.  Our fun-filled afternoons include Summer Camp activities followed by extended Afterschool Care.  Students can customize their summer schedule and choose a morning of academic class or select an afternoon of fun activities, or both.

The program makes a dramatic difference in preparing students with a variety of learning differences including dyslexia, dyscalculia, dysgraphia, ADD, ADHD, anxiety, or a combination of these, to start the next academic year with new skills, new friends and renewed confidence. The Summer Program is open to all students (whether they attend Prentice or not) who would like to experience what Prentice has to offer. We welcome students from public schools that don’t offer a summer session. Prentice qualifies as an extended school year (ESY) for students with an IEP.

These educational and fun-filled 20 days are a great way for students to maintain and improve the skills they’ve developed during the year, preventing the summer slide, while enabling them to receive valuable supplemental instruction.
Week 1 (June 28 – July 5), Week 2 (July 6 – 12), Week 3 (July 13 – 19), and Week 4 (July 20 – 26).

We also offer summer workshops for parents and professionals who would like to learn more about how to help children who learn differently.
