THE PRENTICE DIFFERENCE
EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING
Many students with language-based learning disabilities and ADHD struggle with organization and staying on task.
At Prentice, students all grades have executive functioning modeling and reinforcement built into their curriculum. This allows our students to develop their executive functioning and working memory skills to improve their student success.
Students are introduced to EF language and explicitly taught and practice the following skills: response inhibition, working memory, emotional control/self-regulation, flexibility, sustained attention, task initiation, planning/prioritizing, organization, time management, goal-directed persistence, and metacognition.
