Our Orton-Gillingham trained & certified teachers provide students with small group instruction in the Orton-Gillingham methodology. Students engage in lessons that are explicit, direct and focused on the structure of language. Through the use of visual, auditory, and kinesthetic pathways we focus on fluency, vocabulary development and reading comprehension.

Students are guided through small group, multisensory, explicit writing lessons through the Jane Schaffer program. This program champions discussion and oral language development, integrating conversation at every stage of writing to strengthen students’ ideas and understanding. Through color-coded graphic organizers, students progress from words and phrases to structured sentences and cohesive paragraphs, gaining a solid foundation in writing. With a multisensory approach that appeals to visual, kinesthetic, and auditory learners, and a consistent terminology across all grade levels, the Jane Schaffer Program ensures that every student finds success in expressing their thoughts clearly and effectively.

AT CAPACITY, CLOSED FOR ENROLLMENT: Social Detectives: Grades 2 - 4 can discover the keys to social success this summer with our engaging and interactive learning program. Designed to support social learners, our program offers a dynamic blend of lessons, crafts, and games that explore how the social world works, which ultimately helps them to problem-solve and respond to what's happening around them in their daily lives. Students will embark on a journey of self-awareness, social awareness, self-management, responsible decision-making, relationship skills, and social problem-solving: flexible thinking and flexible doing. Join us for an enriching summer experience where students can develop valuable social smarts in a supportive and fun environment.

AT CAPACITY, CLOSED FOR ENROLLMENT: Reading & Writing Detectives: Grades 5 - 8 can discover the similarities between good readers and skilled detectives as they engage in investigative reading activities which then inspires them to create and publish their very own Prentice Post. Led by Mrs. Clark, an experienced SLP, students will enhance their language skills through activities focused on receptive and expressive language, social pragmatic language, and supralinguistic language. With an emphasis on reading comprehension, critical thinking, and writing, students will unravel mysteries, analyze characters, ask questions, make inferences, and write investigative articles. Looking for a safe, calming, and enjoyable way for your child to spend the afternoon after our Prentice Summer Program? After School Care is the perfect option! Led by our beloved Mrs. Ellen, this extended care program offers students a nurturing environment to unwind, connect with peers, and engage in fun, low-key activities. Mrs. Ellen brings a warm and caring presence to the group, ensuring that students feel supported, comfortable, and cared for throughout the afternoon.

Activities will include arts and crafts, relaxed games, reading time, and plenty of opportunities for creative play and relaxation—all designed to meet kids where they are after a full morning of learning.

This program is ideal for working families or those simply needing a later pickup time. We offer two flexible options Monday through Friday:

12:00 PM – 4:00 PM for $1,200
1:30 PM – 4:00 PM for $800
